Yogyakarta “Tugu”

Yogyakarta “Tugu”

The effects of having 2 kopi ‘Jos’ last night took its toll. I did not sleep until 4.30 in the morning only to be awoken by a phone call at 5 a.m from the travel agent informing me that if I still wanted to carry on with the trip to Mount Merapi  a still active volcano, despite the weather which was then raining heavily. I decided not to carry on with the trip and  would be refunded for it. I continued my sleep until late morning and only checked out from the hotel at 1p.m.

Kopi Luwak ( Civet droppings coffee)

With nothing planned and not taking any risk for my flight at 5 pm that evening I had lunch at the hotel and took a taxi to the airport. Checked in and had my first ‘kopi luwak’ which is actually civet droppings coffee. The taste?  BITTER  with a capital B.

I took refuge at the airport lounge and waited for my flight . I enjoyed this trip of mine to Yogyakarta very much and in shaa Allah (God willing) I would come back again in the near future to visit the bases that I missed on this trip ………
